Lately I have been doing a lot of "junking" with my mother. My brother and she have been making different things (signs, button art, etc.) and the have a little booth in Malakoff. So we have been going over there and adding things and shopping around. Malakoff has around 13 antique or junk stores so it gives us something to do during the day. Although I probably should be cleaning...My cousin, Gina, also makes really cute girl's dresses. Here are some pictures of the stuff they are selling in their booth. One day some of my cousins and I went to visit the stores. While we were waiting to leave we realized that this was a mother-daughter trip, including little Aubrey Elizabeth. I'm definetly looking pregnant.

In one of the stores in Malakoff I saw something that I liked very much and that Matt and I had been thinking would make our kitchen more useful.

Isn't it cute!? Yes, I did choose to paint it that color. Why? I just liked it. It doesn't really match anything else in my house. Eh... You probably can't tell from the picture but it is metal and has a formica top. I love metal kitchen cabinets. I think Matt would have preferred that we get something new that would match the rest of out cabinets but he does agree that it is very useful. Before we had nothing in between our stove and fridge.

So, Aubrey's nursery has been interesting. We decided we really didn't want to repaint the room because we only painted it a year ago, we like the color, and we do not like to paint. It has been hard to find something to match the walls. I bought a bedding set, put it on the crib and decided I didn't like it. Then I repeated the process and was left with no bedding. The plan now is to make the bedding and I found some fabric that I really like. My Aunt Beverly is going to assist me in sewing it. So as we get pieces made I will attempt to post pictures. These are the fabrics we'll use.

I'm off to water aerobics!
